Presenter Introduction:
Lei Xiaohui (1974-), male, a professor-level senior engineer and the director of the control room under the Water Resources Department, the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, mainly undertakes the work related to forecast and control under complicated water resources systems. Since 2007 when he came back to China, he has supported and taken part in projects like the projects backed by national science and technology under the national “Eleventh Five-Year” Plan, the national “Twelfth Five-Year Plan, and the national “Thirteenth Five-Year” Plan, major special projects of national water pollution control and treatment science and technology, issues of the national 973 Plan, and the projects supported by the National Natural Science Fund. Meanwhile, as a technical backbone, he presided over tackling key scientific research problems of and technical counseling on critical technical issues of several national control-optimization projects, including the middle-route of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, the Yalongjiang River Basin, and the Yangtze River Basin. The results of those projects have been widely publicized in and applied to numerous basins and water-transfer projects. He has published a certain number of papers regarding water resources on academic journals well-known at home and abroad, published multiple authorized patents and software copyrights, and co-published several monographs.
